The Meals on Wheels Erie office will be closed on Monday, 02/17, for the Presidents' Day holiday. Meals for Monday will be delivered on the Friday prior, 01/17, along with the weekend meals.

There will be NO GROCERY SHOPPING ORDERS taken on Monday, 02/17. Grocery orders will resume on Tuesday, 02/18 and deliveries will be as usual.

Over 200 Bags Distributed!

Every year, Meals on Wheels Erie distributes an insulated bag to our meal clients, filled with nonperishable food and other goodies. These items are to ensure that they have food in the house should the weather prohibit us from delivering. The insulated bags are helpful for times when they cannot be home for delivery, especially during Summer - with a frozen ice pack, we can leave the meals safely.

Thank you, VFW Post 470, for sponsoring the bags and part of the contents this year, the Sunshine Group of Erie for the homemade coasters and bookmarks, the Hands All Around Quilting Guild for the placemats, and to all who donated nonperishables to help us stuff the bags!

Special thanks to all the volunteers who came to the office to stuff bags - it got so crazy, we forgot to take more photos!

BIG FOOD DAY:
Friday, February 14th!

Friday drivers, you will have 4 days of meals to deliver on February 14th, you lucky Valentines!

Monday drivers, enjoy a day off!

WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR CHEERFUL VOLUNTEERS!

You might be amazed at how much good you can do with just 2 hours a week…whether you’re interested in driving a meal delivery route or grocery shopping for individual clients, we’d love to have you!
