Because of you, Meals on Wheels Erie raised more than $31,000 on Erie Gives Day 2025 — surpassing last year’s results and exceeding our goal for this year. We are humbled and deeply grateful for your generosity.

Your gifts mean more than meals. They mean smiles at the door, safety checks for those living alone, and the reassurance that our senior and veteran neighbors are cared for and remembered. Together, we are making it possible for the most vulnerable in our community to age at home with dignity and independence.

A portion of this year’s Erie Gives support will strengthen our Veterans in Need Program, which ensures that local veterans receive a freshly prepared meal every single day of the year — 365 days, 7 days a week. At just $2,300 per year, the cost of providing daily meals for one veteran or senior is less than a single day in the hospital or 10 days in a nursing home — and yet it makes a lifelong difference.

Heads Up, Friday & Monday Volunteers!

Our office will be closed and there will be no meal deliveries on Monday, October 13th, in observance of the Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Holiday. These meals will be delivered on Friday, October 10th, along with the weekend meals.

There will be no grocery orders taken on Monday, October 13th, but there will be no impact on grocery delivery.
